The AF-drive is equipped with Tamron;s VXD-technology (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), that provides quick and accurate autofocus. The lens has a Moisture-Resistant construction and Fluorine-coating for extra protection. Achieves an MOD of 0.18m (7.1 in) and maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7. The objective has excellent macro shooting capabilities. The shortest Minimum Object Distance (MOD) is only 0.18 m at 28mm-wide angle and 0.38 m at 75 mm telephoto. The working distance is only 4.4 cm. With the highest possible maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7, highly detailed macro shots are possible.
